You guys didn't get much snow up there though, did you? I'm lucky to live in the south... we sometimes have a warm wind blowing over the alps, even when it's snowing outside, we have the alps to actually use the snow for some winter sports, and we don't get that cold ass wind from the northern plains! Win-Win-Win situation, I'd say!

No, there wasn't much up there. The most that I can remember was about 4 or 5 inches at best. Cold was another story.

I used to like winter. heck, when I was like 14 or so, I went to Wisconsin for a few months and found out what snow and cold really was. I had several girls chase me around because they liked to hear me talk...

Strange people. They were the ones what talked funny.

After living in Texas for over 22 years, people here in Minnesota say I still talk funny. But I agree.... they talk funny.

I grew up in Iowa, so Minnesota was a rival. I will vouch for you...they DO talk funny...and frigging fast...I say it's cuz their teeth are on permanent chatter.... ROFL

Try Minnesota for the whole month of January. It's the worst month for me as far as cold goes.

As it happens, on that same trip, I stopped in Iowa (Cedar Rapids) and spent a few days with some old friends. It was noticibly cold there as well.
