My monitor Empty My monitor

is dying. It's at half-brightness and is blinking constantly. It hurts my eyes. And my brain.

I think my participation here will be limited until I get this fixed. I'm finding it impossible to get a coherent thought together.

What brought all that on? It was sudden? Any other little things that might be adding to it?

Dunno. It was starting to blink a bit just before I left, but was nothing I couldn't ignore. Now that I'm back, it's in its full-on seizure-inducing death throes. Good thing I'm not epileptic.

It seems to be physically damaged. I wonder if my daughter is to blame; she's always jabbing her finger into the screen even though we holler at her not to.

Is it a flat screen? I keep forgetting about those. I still use the old "tube" type of monitor. If it is, then that's probably what happened. You can't touch those screens without damage occurring later on.

Well, it looks like you'll be buying another monitor before too long.

I have a backup I haven't hooked up yet, but it's about the size of a toaster, so...yeah, I will be.

My microwave also died while I was gone.

Good thing your place didn't burn down. Then you'd be pissed. Very Happy

The monitor problem actually fixed itself (almost) for a few days, now it's back with a vengeance.

My eyes are bleeding!
