Saw it today. Amazing film that probably requires a second viewing to get the finer points.BubbleBliss wrote:Seen it yet?
This is my 2nd weekend I've attempted to see this movie, but I just can't get around to it. I read some mixed reviews, but I've heard that the movie is amazing.
I like Martin Scorcese's stuff, he's a top notch director. I like his old Mob movies!
Re: Shutter Island
I thought it would be creepy but it isn't really. I'd compare it more to Identity and Jacob's Ladder.BubbleBliss wrote:Definitely a creepy movie. Reminded me of The Sixth Sense a little bit just that it's darker and keeps you guessing ALL the time.
Re: Shutter Island
Well, it's not really creepy like a horror movie, it's just that it leaves you in the dark for so long. Identity is one of my favorite movies, I loved the story in that!
I'll definitely watch Shutter Island again.

Shutter Island...eh...a little bit overrated. A good film, but not great, imo.

I have yet to see it even though I promised myself that I would. Maybe it was my DVD player taking a shit a month ago that impeded it.

Finally saw it. I watched half of it last night till I started to nod off and finished it this afternoon. Creepy and hard to follow until the end.
I upgraded my internet to 10 Mbps a week ago and then started a Netflix account. It's free for a month. All of this goes thru my Blu Ray player. I have an Amazon account and am thinking of going Prime with them since I do a lot of business with them. That way, I can watch shit unlimited.
